Scope and operator

ClipAnatomy operates the ClipAnatomy website and AI video analysis service. In this policy, ClipAnatomy, we, and us refer to the service operator.

This policy applies to visitors, account holders, and people whose information is included in content submitted to the service. Business customers may also act as controllers of content they upload.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate, secure, bill, and improve the service.

  • Account information, including name, email address, login credentials, workspace, and communication preferences.
  • Uploaded videos, audio, images, captions, prompts, project context, and generated reports.
  • Billing records, including plan, transaction status, billing country, and limited payment details received from the payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data, including IP address, browser, pages viewed, feature events, error logs, and timestamps.
  • Support messages, abuse reports, and any files or information you choose to include.
  • Language and theme preferences stored locally in your browser.

How we use information

We use personal data for the purposes below and do not sell personal information.

  • Provide accounts, uploads, analysis, exports, support, and requested service features.
  • Process subscriptions, apply plan limits, prevent duplicate charges, and keep transaction records.
  • Secure the service, detect abuse, investigate incidents, and enforce our terms.
  • Diagnose failures, measure service reliability, and improve product performance.
  • Send service messages and, with required consent, product updates that you can unsubscribe from.
  • Comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, and establish or defend legal claims.

Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following bases according to the purpose and context.

  • Contract, when processing is needed to provide the service you request.
  • Legitimate interests, including security, fraud prevention, support, and careful product improvement, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent, for optional communications or device storage where consent is required. You may withdraw consent.
  • Legal obligation, when records or disclosures are required by law.

Service providers and disclosure

We disclose information only as needed to run the service or meet legal obligations. Processor categories may include cloud hosting and private object storage, AI inference and transcription, payments, email delivery, customer support, and security monitoring.

Providers may process information only for contracted purposes and under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms. We may also disclose information during a business transaction, with your direction, or in response to valid legal process. We do not share uploads with other customers.

  • Cloud infrastructure and private media storage providers.
  • AI inference, speech transcription, OCR, and media-processing providers.
  • Payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and subscription-management providers.
  • Email, support, security, and operational analytics providers.
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or transaction parties when legally necessary.

Uploaded content and AI processing

We process uploaded content to create the analysis you request. ClipAnatomy does not use private customer videos to train general-purpose models unless we first obtain separate, explicit permission.

Selected AI providers may temporarily process prompts, frames, transcripts, or audio to return results. Before launch, we will publish the active subprocessor list and configure provider retention and training controls where available.

Retention and deletion

We keep each category only as long as needed for the stated purpose, then delete or de-identify it, subject to legal and security requirements.

  • Source media is scheduled for deletion within 24 hours after a completed analysis.
  • Failed or abandoned source uploads are scheduled for deletion within 7 days.
  • Reports and derived project data remain until you delete the project or account, subject to active backup cycles.
  • Backups, security logs, and billing records may remain for up to 30 days or longer when law, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution requires it.

International transfers

ClipAnatomy and its providers may process data in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data protection laws.

Where required, we use recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for information about the safeguard relevant to your data.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed for the risk, including encrypted transport, private storage, signed media access, access controls, logging, and deletion jobs.

No service can guarantee absolute security. Keep account credentials confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your account or uploaded content has been accessed without authorization.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. We may verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Send requests to privacy@clipanatomy.net. You may also appeal a decision or complain to your local data protection authority where those rights apply.

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of eligible data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive portable data where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
  • Opt out of marketing and certain sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activities. We do not currently sell personal data or run targeted advertising.

Cookies and local storage

The current public site uses local browser storage for language and theme preferences. These settings are necessary to remember choices you make and are not used for advertising.

If we add non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and provide consent controls where required before those technologies run.

Children

The service is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information to the service.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service, providers, or law changes. We will post the new date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights.
